RJRT is encouraged by the continuous decline in underage smoking and vaping rates that have resulted from collective efforts to keep tobacco products out of the hands of youth.  

Underage Smoking Continues its Long Decline to Historic Lows

CIGARETTES:

1.1% of middle school students reported that they smoked cigarettes in the past 30 days – down approximately 52% since 2019.


1.9% of high school students reported that they smoked cigarettes in the past 30 days – down approximately 67% since 2019.
